Face to Face Personal Training
Whatever your goal is- fat loss, muscle gain, body recomp or overall fitness - I've got you covered. We will focus on getting you stronger in the gym, educate you around sustainable food + lifestyle habits & balance it all out utilising yoga and/or somatics for rest, recovery & evening out any muscular imbalances, pain or postural issues.

Hey! My name is Gia & I’ve been a passionate Personal Trainer & Yoga Instructor for 7 years. Outside of my work, I am a lover of the natural world, choosing to spend my free time outside hiking, camping, swimming & exploring with my sausage dog Lola. I also enjoy jewellery making, drawing, painting, photography hula hooping, pole fitness, dance, spending time with loved ones, doing sudokus, reading & doing deep dive research of whatever I'm interested in that week- it's usually bird related. (I know, I have a ton of hobbies, I do have ADHD after all lol.)
My approach & methods have evolved over the years, to the place it is today- an integrated personal training, yoga & mindset experience, with a "mind, body, spirit" approach. I don't believe in quick fixes, crash or fad diets, skinny teas, waist trainers, gels or creams, whatever the current wellness scam is, crazy intense workouts or fast unsustainable results. I know what works- time, patience, education, consistency & the results show for themselves. After an ADHD diagnosis in 2019, I added onto my services to specialise in coaching women with ADHD, as I know firsthand the strengths & struggles that come alongside trying to live a healthy life with neurodivergence. In 2021, I presented a lecture for the Women's Fitness Academy's Master Female Trainer Course, detailing how to train female clients with ADHD, which has been watched by thousands of trainers. After a traumatic experience in 2021, I educated myself on trauma informed movement & somatic experiencing to aid in my mental health recovery. It made me realise that the modern world is extremely dysregulating for the mental health of most people & that there is a real healing power in moving your body to help navigate the complexities of the human experience that I now want to share with the world. Health & fitness is so much more than what we look like, it is the vehicle in which we navigate through the world & it is my mission to help as many people as possible realise this too.

MIND
Most clients come to me with a goal of wanting to lose weight or look "better" in some way. Whilst I have no issue with coaching aesthetic based goals (it was the foundation of my work for 5+ years), Gia PT & Yoga digs deeper into these desires to ensure our goals are coming from a place of self love & not from a negative place. In our initial consult, we will discuss your WHY. WHY do you have the goals you have? Are they ACTUALLY the goals you want to achieve or is there a desire deeper below the surface? What SELF LIMITING BELIEFS do you have about yourself? What STORIES do you tell yourself that may be hindering your goals? This isn't just a "heres your workout program,
here are your calorie targets- we'll check in next week", my coaching will transform the
way you think & feel about movement & yourself- the REAL transformation.
Education is a core value of Gia PT & Yoga, as this is what will keep your results long
term, instead of the yo-yo dieting we're all accustomed with. You won't be told
what to do every week, you'll be educated on HOW to eat well, move well & live
well. This is a collaborative approach- we are a team!

BODY
What you look like is the LEAST important thing about you, however the desire to feel
comfortable in your own skin is extremely important. Regardless of if your goal is to lose
body fat, build muscle or just feel stronger overall, resistance training is where the magic
happens. I am not the coach who will yell at you & work you into the ground so you're puking by
the end of your session- my goal for you is to enjoy moving your body & get strong as hell! I will
honour your body's unique capabilities & restrictions, work with your schedule/lifestyle & put an
emphasis on getting stronger every week. I also have extensive experience & knowledge of injury
prevention (I work closely with physiotherapists & osteopaths), addressing imbalances & addressing
hypo/hypermobility/POTS (I personally have hEDS & POTS), so that you can get the most out of every
session- safely. Basically, you will achieve the healthy body you've always dreamed of, in a sustainable way that works WITH your body, not against it.

SPIRIT
BALANCE is something I value highly. As we build strength, it's important to keep a balance between being strong in the body & being strong in the mind. Yoga isn't just about stretching, getting more flexible or holding fun poses (although how cool is a headstand!)- it's about reconnecting the mind back with the body & exploring the inner workings of your psyche. Yoga incorporates movement (asanas) with breath (pranayama) intentionally, which helps us become more in tune with our thoughts, become more emotionally regulated, calms our nervous system (& be sure that modern living wreaks havoc our CNS) & develop inner peace. It also carves out a space where we can introspect on our fitness journey, to make sure our goals still align with our true desires. All personal training clients will also recieve a custom yoga flow, based on their needs of flexibility, mobility, imbalance restoration & nervous system regulation.
